The applied work done in the Computer Science and Engineering Robotics lab is complemented by practical challenges and competitions through the VEX robotics club. Students develop skills in electronics, programming and networks while building systems using computer programs to control complex external devices. Computer science students use the Agile delivery framework to build very complex, multi-faceted applications in teams where soft skill development is key in helping to prepare them for university and the future workforce. Grade 12 students in both programs experience cutting-edge industry practicums where they apply skills learned in class to solve real-world problems while getting a first-hand view into their future careers.
